New runners age 18 and over of all abilities are always welcome.
We cater for runners of a wide range of standards and abilities but do require that as a minimum you can run 5 km in around 31 minutes (roughly 10 min. mile pace - 6 min 12 secs a km). If you’re not able to do that just yet you could try Couch to 5k? https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/couch-to-5k-week-by-week/
We also have a member who is trained as a guide runner for the visually impaired.
As a new member we realise it can be a bit daunting at first but don't worry, whatever standard you are we will make sure you run with others of a similar ability.
Location: Edward Alleyn Club, 83-85 Burbage Road, SE24 9HD - free off road parking and a short jog away from Herne Hill, West Dulwich and North Dulwich stations, and various bus stops (serving routes 3, 37, 42, 68, 196, 201, 322, 468, P4). See map below for location.

About us
A local South London running club formed in 1980 still helping runners achieve their goals and have fun across road, cross-country, track, multi-trail and parkrun events!
We have around 280 members of differing abilities who regularly compete in road, cross-country, multi-terrain, fell and track races.
We welcome as members those who wish to run competitively or just for fun and or maintain a level of fitness - looking to complete their first race or improve their personal best in a range of events such as the London Marathon or progress at parkrun.
Normally each year we hold a Club Championship series of races, compete in road and cross-country leagues as well as take part in stand-alone events such as the Green Belt Relay and Masters Relays. We also host a popular midsummer relays and children’s mile fun run in Dulwich Park on a Wednesday evening in June every year. In 2024 this was on Wednesday 19 June, with 84 children and 99 relay teams taking part. You can find the results on our Midsummer relays page linked below.
We also have a strong social side to the Club with regular socials, such as pizza nights, curry nights, tap room runs between local craft breweries, quiz nights, Christmas party, as well as our post-run drinks in our Club House.
